Uniquely ME! Program held by Zeta Mu collegiate
For anyone who does not know, Kappa Delta is a sponsor of the uniquely ME! - Girl Scout/Dove Self-Esteem Program. The program was created in 2002 to address the critical nationwide problem of low self-esteem among adolescent and pre-adolescent girls, to foster self-esteem in girls, ages 8-17. The program helps girls feel better about themselves by helping them develop the skills necessary to face life's challenges.
Zeta Mu, Stacy Lipman has been working with the program in Cherry Hill Baltimore, for a group of 12 girls between the ages of 8-13 years old, and had its final session this past Monday, November 16. Her occupational therapy classmates and herself threw a party for the girls. The girls ate cupcakes, painted nails, and at the end were presented with Uniquely ME! certificates. Stacy said that the girls were overjoyed with a profound sense of accomplishment at having completed the program. Stacy was deeply touched by all of donations that she received from the alumnae chapter. The supplies helped her and her classmates realize the program that they had envisioned for the girls. Stacy would like to send a special thank you to Kay Lehmann, who was so generous in donating 3 bags of materials. Thank you to everyone who helped out with this program!

Wine Tasting and Ghost Tour events
Last Saturday, November 7th, Margaret hosted the annual wine tasting event at her house in Hanover. The event is always a lot of fun and is one where you can bring a friend, spouse, or both, too! Who doesn't like the idea of spending time with all the important people in your life! Margaret had favors of wine glasses with candy for those who came along with a prize for the "best wine."

Back in August, Becky organized a Ghost Tour of Fells Point. It had been a nice night for walking around and it looks like the girls who went had a good time.I don't know everyone in this picture, so if you do, help me out!

Philanthropy with the Holiday Luncheon
Every year during the Holiday Luncheon, the AC members bring in gifts to donate to the children at Mount Washington Pediatric. We have had tons of gifts in the past! Let's try to beat our record this year (I don't know if we have a record, and if so what it is, but it's the holiday season so let's not be Scrooge's!)! The hospital is looking for the following donations:
*gift certificates
*socks/underwear
*video games (for the older kids)
*CD players
*crayons/coloring books
*arts and crafts supplies
*infant/adolescent clothing
*DVD's
*The list goes on...
For a more complete list, please go to http://www.mwph.org/donation/holiday_wish_list.htm to see what they need. Even if you can't make it to the luncheon, try and send a gift for the kids!
